Return Policy Information

Please read our returns policy details below and ensure you have all related order information on hand to return your purchase.

Return Authorization Guide

  1. Submit a request via our Contact Us form.
  2. A MTN Tool employee will contact you in 1 to 3 business days (Monday through Friday).

Returned Item & Merchandise Requirements

The following includes everything that must be included with all returned orders, items, and merchandise:

  • Original packaging in New Condition.
    • Including but not limited to original boxes, Styrofoam, bubble wrap, plastic bags, etc.
    • Damaged or Used Items will be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% based on condition when received.
  • Original and intact UPC barcode.
    • Removal of the UPC voids any possibility of the return request being honored.
  • Original packing slip.
  • All accessories, including cords, carrying cases, transformers, remote controls, batteries, assembly tools, etc.
  • All manufacturer instruction manuals, warranty cards, registration information, and other documentation.

Return Restrictions

Defective Merchandise (Must have return authorization):

If you receive a defective item within 30 days of shipping the merchandise from the warehouse, MTN Tool will exchange a faulty item for a replacement item. MTN Tool will reimburse you for the original ground shipping expenses. For defects after 30 days, please refer to the manufacturer for warranty information.

Non-defective Merchandise (Must have return authorization):

If you return a new, unused item that is not defective within 30 days of shipping the merchandise from the warehouse, MTN Tool will refund a non-defective item. Non-defective items may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 15% of the purchase price, and you are responsible for all original and return shipping expenses.

Gasoline-Powered Items (Must have return authorization):

These items cannot be returned to MTN Tool once the gas has been added to the machine. If gas has been added, the unit must be taken to an authorized service center for repair, typically covered under warranty. Consult your product manual or manufacturer for warranty information.

More Oversized Items (Must have return authorization):

Some items require special shipping and handling. Some oversized items may require a freight carrier and are not eligible for return.

Other Promotion Returns:

MTN Tool reserves the right to change, deny, or revoke all returns and refunds involving promotional opportunities, both in-store at our MTN Outfitter location and online at MTNTool.com.

Defective Merchandise (Classified as non-defective):

If you decide to initiate a return at MTNTool.com and classify your item as non-defective, your item must arrive at our MTN Tool warehousing facility undamaged and non-defective. If your returned item is misclassified and arrives defective, a restocking fee of up to 40% of the original purchase price may apply.
